Cory Patten's Auto & Truck Works is a Newport-based, family business serving the needs of community members and companies throughout New England.
With two bays and a dirt floor, Walter Patten began building an auto body garage in the early 1950's that would eventually become a third generation business. In 1961, Walter's son, Mike, joined the business and expanded into a five bay, state-of-the-art facility. By 1988 the addition of three services bays meant greater flexibility for their four employees to focus efforts on auto body and towing services.
When grandson, Cory, purchased the family business in 1997, it was with a vision and goal to expand upon his grandfather's foundation of honesty and integrity and his father's example to always place the needs of his customers first.
Today, Cory Patten's Auto & Truck Works employs certified technicians within a multi-structure business that includes a body shop, servicing everything from motorcycles, tractor trailers and heavy equipment. Commercial fleet operations include auto body, mechanical, general routine maintenance and towing and recovery needs for any size vehicle.
